|
Mrs. Bridget Hogan, widow of James Hogan of Fair Haven, died on Monday morning of apoplexy, aged 68 years. The funeral was held
this morning at St. James's church at Red Bank. Rev. James A. Reynolds conducted the service. The body was buried in Mount Olivet cemetery.
Mrs. Hogan was born in Ireland and came to this country fifty years ago. Soon after arriving in the United States she obtained
employment in Red Bank and about two years later married Thomas Martin, a carpenter at Red Bank. She and her husband lived at
Red Bank until 36 years ago, when they moved to Brooklyn. Mr. Martin died shortly after the family moved to Fair Haven, and
about two years later Mrs. Martin married James Hogan, who was employed in a nursery. The family has lived in Fair Haven ever
since. Mrs. Hogan leaves three children by her first husband. They are Mrs. Jacob Ellenberg, John Martin and Thomas Martin,
all of whom live at Fair Haven. She also leaves twelve grandchildren. Mr. Hogan died about eleven years ago.
