Scalded to Death

Myrtle Stout, aged three years, daughter of John Stout, who lives near the car stables between Keyport and Matawan, died last Wednesday as the result of having fallen into a tub of boiling water the Monday previous. The child's mother was washing and the tub of hot water had been left on the floor. The little girl walked backwards against the tub and fell into the water. She was terribly scalded from her ribs to her knees and one hand was also scalded
