Mrs. Eliza Jane Little, widow of Henry C. Little, died at Fair Haven on Friday. Death was due to a complication of diseases. She suffered with Bright's disease and she had had several slight strokes of paralysis. For three months past she had been helpless, but previous to that time she was remarkably active for one of her years. She would have been 81 years old on the 25th of this month.

Mrs. Little was the daughter of Mary and Michael Despreaux. She was born at what is now known as Hilton Park, near Atlantic Highlands, the place at that time being known as "the Spout." When she was fourteen years old she married Henry C. Little, who then farmed that part of Fair Haven lying west of the avenue leading to the steamboat dock and which is now occupied by many fine summer residences, including the McAnerney place. Mr. Little died 49 years ago

Six children were born to the couple. The first child, a girl, died when very young, and another daughter, Mary Kaune, died a number of years ago. Four sons survive Mrs. Little. They are Henry D. Little of Red Bank; William Nelson Little and Harvey M. Little of Fair Haven; and Francis A. Little of Atlantic Highlands. Her grandchildren number 28 and she has the same number of great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Little was the last of her family. A sister, Hannah Broadmeadow, died at Jersey City two years ago, aged 83 years.

The funeral was held on Sunday at two o'clock at the home of Harvy Little. Rev. John Watson of the Methodist Protestant church of Fair Haven, of which Mrs. Little was a member, conducted the service. The body was buried in the Little Silver cemetery. The pall bearers were George Hendrickson, Forman Smith, Charles Doughty, Edward Taylor, John Fielder and George W. Smith.
