Obituaries - NJ - 1901 - John C. Garnsey

John C. Garnsey, a former resident of Red Bank, died at his home at White Plains on Friday, aged 73 years. He suffered a sunstroke three years ago and he had been failing since that time. He was a carpenter by trade and lived at Red Bank until six years ago, when he moved to White Plains.
Mr Garnsey married Louisa Fenton, sister of the late Edward Fenton of Lincroft, who survives him. He leaves also two sons, Elmer E. Garnsey of White Plains and Erasmus Garnsey of New York. The body was brought to Red Bank yesterday and the funeral was held at the Baptist church. Rev. W. B. Matteson conducted the service. Mr. Garnsey's two sons and his four grandsons, Herbert, Everett, Julian and Walter Garnsey, were the pall bearers. The body was buried at Fair View cemetery.
