Joseph Hathaway of Branchport died of heart disease on Tuesday of last week, aged 71 years. For a number of years he had been clerk in the freight department of the Patten steamboat line. He leaves two children, Mrs. Louisa Jacobus of New York and Frank Hathaway of Long Branch.
