A Child Scalded To Death

A Long Branch Girl Meets a Terrible Fate

Concetta Pingatora, aged four years, a Long Branch Italian girl, met a terrible death a few days ago. The child's mother went out doors for a few minutes, leaving a big kettle of boiling water on the stove. While the mother was out the girl pulled over the kettle on herself and the boiling water ran over her face. She was so badly burned that her face was scarcely recognizable. Medical aid was at once summoned but the child died in great agony a few hours after the accident.
