Mrs. Rachel Eckley of Long Branch died on Sunday of last week after a long sickness. She was 78 years old and was the widow of Malachi Eckley, who died in 1887. She was born in Chester Valley, Pennsylvania. She joined the Methodist church at that place when fourteen years of age and had been active in church work since that time. She leaves four daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Anderson, Mrs. John B. White, Mrs. B. S. Van Huel and Miss Rachel Eckley, all of whom live at Long Branch.
