John D. Cooke of Monmouth street, who died about a month ago, made his will on February 25th of this year. He left a widow, Frances R. Cooke, who is a sister of David Hance of Red Bank; and he also left a half-sister, Miss Caroline M. Cooke, who lives near Boston. He left no children. Mr. Cooke left to his half-sister the sum of $500, which he states was the sum she heartily and cheerfully contributed to help him with his early education. All the rest of his property of every kind he left to his wife, and she was appointed the executrix of the will. The witnesses were Joseph V. H. Rogers and Lawrence J. Feltman. Mr. Cooke’s estate consists of a house and lot at Asbury Park, some lots at Bradley Beach, about $2,000 in building and loan stock and a number of mortgages.
