Sullivan’s Body Found

Mystery of a Missing Stableman Partially Cleared Up

The body of John Sullivan, who had been missing from his home at Seabright since the night of December 7th, was found floating in the river near the Highlands drawbridge on Sunday. Coroner Flock of Long Branch was summoned and the body was taken to that place. An inquest will be held.

Sullivan worked in McCue & Beecroft’s stables at Seabright. On the night of December 7th he was seen in an intoxicated condition. He was not seen after three o’clock the next morning and there were rumors that he had met with foul play. Sullivan’s widow is living at Lakewood.
