Obituaries - NJ - 1902 - Charles W. Roswell


   

Charles W. Roswell died at Oceanport on Sunday of paralysis. He was stricken three weeks ago and been confined to his bed ever since. He was seventy years old. For a number of years he had tended the Goose Neck drawbridge. He was a Grand Army man, an Odd Fellow and a Free Mason. He leaves a widow and seven children. The children are William Roswell, Mrs. Edward Lippincott, Mrs. William Midgeley and Edward Roswell of Oceanport; Mrs. S. Tallman and Mrs. William Ferry of Long Branch; and Mrs. J. H. Cooper of New York. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock at the Oceanport Methodist church and the burial was at the West Long Branch cemetery.
