Mrs. Mary Selleck
Mrs. Mary Selleck, widow of the late Sands Selleck, who at one time kept
the Atlantic hotel, of this place, died of pneumonia, on Monday, in New York
city, at the residence of her youngest daughter, Mrs. James R. Day, with whom
she had been making her home of late. Mrs. Selleck was born in Scotland, but
came over to Canada with her father, when a young child. After spending a few
years there she came to the United States and in 1865 settled in Keyport. She
was 68 years of age. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Fred. F.
Armstrong, of Keyport, Mrs. B. F. S. Brown, of Matawan, and Mrs. James R Day,
of New York city. One son, Charles, died several years ago.
The funeral took place, yesterday afternoon, at 2:30 o'clock, from the
residence of Mrs. Armstrong, Rev. Henry S. Van Woert officiating; interment
is in Green Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Selleck, widow of Sands Selleck of Keyport, died at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. James R. Day, in New York on Monday from pneumonia, after
an illness of about two weeks. Mrs. Selleck leaves three daughters, Mrs. F.
F. Armstrong of Keyport, Mrs. B. F. S. Brown of Matawan and Mrs. James R.
Day. The remains were taken to Keyport Tuesday and the funeral services were
held at the residence of Mrs. Armstrong Thursday at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Mr.
Van Woert officiating. Interment in Green Grove Cemetery.
