Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport, with the Rev. Dr. Hillman T. Williams, pastor of Calvary Methodist Church, Keyport, officiating, for Mrs. Alice E. Arose, 65, who died Wednesday, May 1, 1957, at her home, 110 State St., Union Beach. Interment was in Cedarwood Cemetery, Keyport.

Mrs. Arose was born in Green Village, the daughter of Mrs. Harriet (Odel) Hinds, Union Beach, and the late Jacob Hinds. Her husband was the late Cornelius Arose.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Mae Eastmond, Mrs. Anna Mae Bailey, both of Union Beach; Mrs. Bertha Lawrence, Asbury Park; three brothers, Albert and Van Hinds, both of Union Beach; Edward Hinds, Pinebush, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren, and one great-grand-daughter.
