McElhose Edna M. Hanaway, on Tuesday, June 8, 1976, of
Astoria, N.Y., beloved wife of the late Elmer F. McElhose, mother
of Donald E. of Irvington, Malcolm N. of Astoria, N.Y. and the
late Elmer J. McElhose, sister of Mrs. Vivian Zukswert of Chatham,
Mrs. Lily Bury of Caldwell, Mrs. Hattie Owens of Bridgeport, Conn.
And Mrs. Lorraine Fentress of Florida, also survived by seven
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends
are invited to attend the service at The CHARLES F. HAUSMANN & SON
FUNERAL HOME, 1057 Sanford Ave., Irvington on Friday at 11 A.M.
Interment Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover. Visiting Thursday
2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
Mrs. McElhose, ex-stenographer
Services for Mrs. Edna M. McElhose, 86 of Astoria, N.Y., will be
held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Charles F. Hausmann & Son Funeral
Home, 1057 Sanford Ave., Irvington. She died Tuesday in the Long
Island Jewish Medical Center, Far Rockaway, N.Y. Mrs. McElhose
was a stenographer for the Essex County Park Commission for six
years before her retirement in 1950. Born in Newark, she lived
12 years in Astoria.
Surviving are two sons, Donald and Malcolm; four sisters, Mrs.
Vivian Zukswert, Mrs. Lily Bury, Mrs. Hattie Owens and Mrs.
Lorraine Fentress, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
