Obituaries - NY - 1962 - Dr. John M. Thurber

Dr. John M. Thurber, who had a long career as an athletic coach and college teacher,
died today at Waterford, CT. He was 80 years old.
Dr. Thurber, a graduate of Colgate University in 1905, had coached football at St.
Lawrence University and taught English at Iowa State University at Ames and at the
New York State College at Buffalo.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Rowena B. Thurber; two sons, John N. and L. Newton Thurber;
two brothers and two sisters.
