On Oct 2, 1961, of Cannes, France, husband of the late Lillian, father of Lucille Banta and Robert Louis Boehm, grandfather of Nancy, Wendy and Diane Boehm, Laurie White, and Jo-Alice Banta, brother of Walter Boehm of London, England.

Note that there is an article on the same page as the death notice which states that Louis was on vacation in Cannes and 78 years old when he died, he was born in Vienna and that he was brought ot the United States when a child.
