A. J. Weimer, 74, Dies, Retired PRR Employee
A. John Weimer, 74, of 732 Brentwood Ave, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in
Hampstead Nursing Home following a long illness. Mr. Weimer was born May 26,
1884, in Youngstown, a son of David and Frederica Gluck Weimer, and lived
here all his life. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Railroad for 53
years, retiring five years ago. He was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran
Church. Besides his wife, the former Katherine Pautot, whom he married in
1940, he leaves a son, George E. of Youngstown; tow daughters, Mrs. Thomas
Williamson of Struthers, and Mrs. William Herbert of Temple City, California;
a brother, Fred G. of Arcadia, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Hesselman
and Mrs. Helen Keich, both of Youngstown, and Mrs. Emma Friebertshauser of
Wheeling, W. Va.; 12 grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. Funeral
services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel.
