Died, at her home in Chehalis, Sunday, April 12, 1903, Mrs. Aurelia L. Haskell,
wife of Rev. J. M. Haskell. The funeral was held from the residence of T. K. Metz,
Tuesday, at 2 p.m. Rev. Monfort, officiated. A large number of relatives and friends
were present. The burial was in the Urquhart cemetery. Mrs. Haskell, whose maiden name
was Gladden, was born in northern New York, October 15, 1837. In 1858 she married J. M.
Haskell. They afterward lived in Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Minnesota, and in 1885 moved
to Oregon. After living there several years they moved to Washington, where they have since
resided. Mrs. Haskell lived in Chehalis several years and was well known. Her circle of
friends was large. She leaves a husband and six children, Horton, Robert and Minard
Haskell, Mrs. E. H. Thompson, Mrs. J. W. Heiss and Mrs. T. K. Metz, who lovingly cherish
her memory.
