William Darwent died in his home February 19, 1944 at the age of 68. Mr. Darwent was born in England, October 13, 1875, and came to this country at the age of 24. He started in Salvation Army work early in life and had attained the rank of major. Mr. and Mrs. Darwent were married at Portland, Oregon, in 1911. Surviving besides the widow, Jessie Estalla, is a son Wesley Thomas, in the Merchant Marine, and a daughter Mrs. Ada Louise Eplett, in Salvation Army work in Colorado Springs. There is a brother in England. Services by Mills & Mills.
