Mrs. Clara Elizabeth Headley, 60, of 3200 Camden Ave., operator of the
Adrian Beauty Parlor in South Parkersburg for 20 years, died Wednesday morning at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at the South
Parkersburg Methodist Church, the Rev. H. W. Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Headley, daughter of the late Isaac and Phoebe Ray, had been a member
of the South Parkersburg Methodist Church for the past 45 years. She was a
member of its official board and was assistant teacher of the Willing Workers Clas. [sic]
Survivors include her husband, Ben H. Headley; one son, Elder Adrian
Headley, Middletown, N. Y.[,] three sisters, Miss Nelle Ray and Mrs. Frank
Thrash, Parkersburg, and Mrs. H. H. Newhouse, Indiantown, Fla.; one grandchild.
The body will remain at the Kimes Funeral Home until noon Saturday, when it will be taken to the church.
