Mary Lu Headley, 84, of Belpre passed away Jan. 5, 2003, at Camden-Clark
Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
She was born June 7, 1918, in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Samuel and
Rosa Fluharty Smith. She was a lifelong homemaker and was active as a member
of Rockland United Methodist Church in Belpre.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Clarence A. Headley of Belpre;
two sisters, Mildred Buskirk and Irene Smith, both of Parkersburg; and
several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lulu
Carpenter, Fonda Smith and Hazel Piggott; and one brother, Charles Smith.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Leavitt Funeral Home,
Parkersburg. Entombment will be follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and until the hour of
services Wednesday.
Memorial donations preferred to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Camden-Clark Hospital.
